Pandorabots Permissions¶

When do I need permission to use the Pandorabots brand?¶

About the Program¶

Because we care about protecting the reputation of our brands, we are very careful about how our “brand features” (a legal term that includes, but is not limited to, our trademarks, logos, web pages, screenshots, or other distinctive elements) are used. It is never OK for any of our brand features to be altered, edited or misrepresented.

Our brand features are protected by applicable trademark, copyright and other intellectual property laws. If you would like to reproduce them anywhere, say on your website, in an ad, in an article or book, you may need to first receive permission from Pandorabots.

First take a look at some these uses:

  • Logo or screenshots
  • pandorabot
  • Domain names
  • Other brands

Pandorabots Logo or Screenshots¶

Screenshots¶

Without seeking our permission you may use a standard, unaltered Pandorabots screenshot (an image of our homepage or a particular page or pandorabot) in either print (book, magazine, journal, newspaper) or digital (web page, DVD, CD) formats for an instructive or illustrative purpose. Examples include screenshots of:

  • a pandorabot page
  • screen shots of pages on the Pandorabots.com web site

This use must be unaltered: You may not superimpose graphics, photos, or ad copy on the screenshot or change the look of the screen-captured image in any other way.

Please note that using a screenshot of a pandorabot page in connection with advertising your products or services is not considered instructive or illustrative, and therefore is not permitted.

Marketing/Advertising Materials¶

We tend to avoid publicizing relationships with great partners, and therefore generally disapprove the use of our logo in third-party marketing materials. This includes online and offline advertising and collateral such as:

  • Case studies
  • Client and referral lists
  • Sales presentations
  • Print, broadcast, outdoor or online ads
  • Product demos
  • Signage
  • Trade show booths

Contact info@Pandorabots.com to discuss third-party marketing activities which we could permit.

We do occasionally refer to partners in our own online and offline marketing materials. Please note that partners promoted in this way receive treatment no different than other clients/users in Pandorabots listing (which are generated automatically by computer algorithms) and inclusion on the Pandorabots website will not improve the partner’s rankings in this way.

Sponsorships¶

We typically disapprove the use of our logo for events we sponsor. Work with your Pandorabots contact (or info@Pandorabots.com) to obtain permission for an exception to this policy.

Manufactured Items¶

We get requests from lots of entrepreneurs who have imagined a new T-shirt design, a toy, software packaging, or another imaginative product that incorporates the Pandorabots logo or a Pandorabots product. Unfortunately, we cannot grant permission for these uses. Work with your Pandorabots contact (or info@Pandorabots.com) to obtain permission for an exception to this policy.

Books or Printed Materials¶

You may avoid seeking our permission when you want to use a standard, unaltered Pandorabots screenshot (an image of our homepage, a main product page, or pandorabots page) in print (book, magazine, journal, newspaper) or digital (web page, DVD, CD) formats for an instructive or illustrative purpose. Examples include screenshots of:

  • a Pandorabots page
  • a specific pandorabot page
  • links from a Pandorabots page
  • conversational logs

This use must be unaltered: You may not superimpose graphics, photos, or ad copy on the screenshot or change the look of the screen-captured image in any other way.

Regarding cover art, you may not use the Pandorabots logo (or the name ‘Pandorabots’ using our typeface) on the cover of a publicly-available book or publication without our permission.

Film and TV¶

If you would like to use the Pandorabots logo in a commercial TV or film production, please submit your request by sending an email to info@pandorabots following the instructions for requesting permission.

How to Request Permission¶

  • Please send us a written letter following these instructions. You may send us an email, but we will also need a signed letter.
  • Please submit your requests in English - that is the only way we can review them at this time. It usually takes 2 - 4 weeks for us to respond to your request, so please plan accordingly.
  • All entertainment requests must include script pages, synopsis, and a detailed description of how the Pandorabots brand feature will be used. If the brand feature use is approved, Pandorabots will provide the production company with a brand usage release.
  • The approval to use Pandorabots Brand Features is limited to the information provided in your request. If your anticipated use changes before or after Pandorabots grants approval, you must update your request accordingly.
  • Please note that we can only give you permission to use the Pandorabots Brand Features. We cannot give you permission to use any brand features belonging to third parties.

A Pandorabot¶

If you’d like to use a Pandorabots pandorabot on your website, we offer several options. You may avoid seeking permission to use an unaltered Pandorabots-branded pandorabot on your site. But you may only use a Pandorabot-branded pandorabot in your marketing material after obtaining our permission, so please do not plan on featuring one in your advertising or other marketing collateral.

Pandorabots-based Domain Names¶

You must avoid the use of Internet domain names that use the word “Pandorabots” or some variation of “Pandorabots”. For example, we would not approve a site called ppandorabots.com or pandorabotz.com.
